Scouts LEEP Launched!
The Barbados Boy Scouts Association's Scouts Learning Entrepreneurship and Environmental Protection
(LEEP) initiative, generously sponsored by the Massy Foundation, continues to resonate strongly with both
boys and parents involved in participating Scout Groups.
On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, a lively gathering took place at the Barbados Boy Scouts Headquarters in
Hazelwood, Collymore Rock, St. Michael, where members from various Sections – Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts,
Scouts, and Venture Scouts – convened for another engaging training session. The atmosphere was brimming with
excitement and camaraderie as participants delved into the programme activities which included making planters
from recycled materials.
The event proved to be not only educational but also highly enjoyable for all involved, with valuable lessons
learned by both youth and adults alike. Anticipation is now building for the upcoming presentation at Agrofest
2024, where the Scouts will proudly showcase their project and newfound knowledge. We cordially invite everyone
to join us at Queen's Park from 23rd to 25th February, 2024, to show your support for this remarkable initiative
by the Association.
