New Beaver Scout Programme Launched
Earlier this year, the Chief Commissioner approved a recommendation from the National Beaver Scout Committee to revise the Beaver Scout Programme. The new revised Programme became effective on 31st October 2016.
The new Beaver Scout Badge Book – October 2016 is now available from the Scout Shop. The price is $9.50 (VAT Inclusive).
The National Beaver Scout Committee will shortly be holding a Seminar for the Leaders of the Section to familiarise them with the changes and to assist them with transitioning from the old programme to the new one. In the meantime, Leaders can purchase the new book from the Shop and start reviewing the new badges and requirements so that they are better prepared for the Seminar.
Those Beaver Scouts who are in the process of completing their Chief Scout Bronze Awards for presentation in March 2017, will continue using the old requirements for this Award.
The Committee is also in the process of revising the Beaver Scout Leader’s Handbook to reflect the changes in the programme. Leaders of the Section who have suggestions for changes and/or additions to the revised Handbook should submit them to the Committee via their District’s representatives on the Committee by 15th December 2016.
