Tropical Sponsors Cuboree Contingent
Tropical Shipping recently made an investment in the youth of Barbados with its sponsorship of the Barbados Boy Scouts Association's Cuboree Contingent. The Contingent will be attending the 14th Caribbean Cuboree which will be held in Georgetown, Guyana from 24th to 29th July 2016.
Mr. Andre Gibson, Barbados Island Manager, recently presented Mrs. Marva Kirton, BBSA Contingent Leader, with a cheque for their sponsorship. The presentation was witnessed by Mr. Hamilton Cumberbatch, Tropical Shipping's Barbados Operations Supervisor.
Cuboree is a lifetime experience where Cub Scouts get the opportunity to foster long lasting friendships, and pursue a wide variety of activities and skills to build team effort and spirit. They will also learn to appreciate and accept the culture of others in a camping environment of Cub Scouts and Leaders from the Caribbean, the Inter-American Region and beyond. (2016-04-18)
