- Qualify for the equivalent of the Award 2 or the 3rd Class Vaulting and Agility Award of the British Amateur Gymnastics Association.
- Know how the events in an international competition are organised and the dimensions of the apparatus used.
- Comment on techniques shown by a junior gymnast performing basic rolls and positions – at the discretion of the examiner.
- Understand the basic principles of judging.
- Coach a junior in a basic skill such as a simple vaulting or tumbling movement, a choice being given to the candidate by the examiner.
